Neighbours Dagenham & Redbridge are suffering tough times financially. The Hammers hope a friendly will help give the Daggers the boost they need.

The fixture will take place during the international break in March and will be played at Chigwell Construction Stadium, the stomping ground of the non-league side.

Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan said: "As soon as we heard that Dagenham & Redbridge were in need of financial assistance, David Moyes and I didn't hesitate to offer our help by sending down a team for a fundraising friendly with our neighbours."

Paul Gwinn, chairman of the Daggers, was incredibly thankful of the support offered to them by David Sullivan and manager David Moyes. "It really will help save our club and I couldn't have asked for more," he said.

All profits from the game will go to the non-league club. Moyes' Hammers will be viewing thematch as more of a training fixture to help them stay sharp during the international break.
