West Ham chief executive Karren Brady admitted she would rather see Tottenham lift the Premier League other than foreign-owned big spenders.

Ahead of Saturday's early kick-off, which saw West Ham host Spurs at the London Stadium, Hammers CEO Karren Brady offered their rivals words of encouragement by backing them to win the Premier League.

'I admit I am jealous of the current Spurs side', Brady wrote in her column for the Sun. 'In many ways, the cock should be crowing for Spurs. Newly resplendent in a year's time, White Hart Lane will ring their name as always'.

Both West Ham and Tottenham have experienced disappointing starts to the season, with a win allowing the hosts to climb up to mid-table, while Pochettino's side look to draw level with Arsenal.

When they met last season, the Hammers all but ended Spurs' title hopes by pulling off a shock 1-0 win, but Brady puts their long-term enmity to one side as she backs Tottenham to win the title.

'What more could a true a supporter want? Well, a first Premier League title would do', she continued. 'I'd rather like to see them upset the foreign spendthrifts and do it'.
