Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that the club will challenge for success on all fronts next season after the club fell short last time out.

The 67-year-old is well aware that there will be increased scrutiny on his performance in the coming months after a series of fan protests last season and the club-record signing of Alexandre Lacazette.

The 'Gunners' crashed to a fifth place finish last season in the Premier League and infamously lost 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Despite all this, the Frenchman believes that his side finished the season strongly, beating London rivals Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

In an interview with Arsenal.com, Wenger commented on the competitiveness of the Premier League today and highlighted his desire to compete for trophies next season.

"The Premier League today is highly competitive, there are six or seven teams who can win trophies and every single trophy is very difficult to win," he explained.

"We want to fight for the Premier League, we want to fight again for the FA Cup and we play in the Europa League and we want to win that. We have to prepare well to do that."

"We finished last season well, we won 10 of the last 11 games and we want to continue that and start in a very strong way."

Can Arsenal win the Premier League next season? A lot will depend on the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, with rumours still rife about the pair.
