The ex-Arsenal boss has confirmed that he is ready to return to football ... although this time it may not be as a manager.

Arsene Wenger's 22-year reign with Arsenal came to a bitter-sweet end following the 2017-18 season, all before he said he wanted to return to management in 2019.

However, the 69-year-old has admitted that he thought he would "come back into management very quickly" but that he "enjoyed taking a little distance". The biggest shock was his admission that he is now "at a crossroads".

The statements came during Wenger's speech as an investor of a sports technology company which has just launched a new deal.

The firm itself confirmed that the Frenchman would have an "active role in business and product development" of a device that will track footballers' performance, located in the boot.

The new venture has seemed to tarnished Wenger's hope of returning to management, as it seems as though he has a slightly altered outlook.

"You will see me again in football. As a manager ... I don't know".
