Arsene Wenger has said that he felt "lost" after ending his time as Arsenal manager at the end of last season.

The Frenchman is one of the most successful managers in the history of the Eng;lish game, having led Arsenal to three Premier Leagues and seven FA Cups with the club.

Since ending his time in charge of the 'Gunners' Wenger has not been able to find another job, and has conceded that he was at a loss after leaving his post.

"I remember very well. I was a bit lost because you have time in front of you, which was never the case before." the veteran manager told 'beIN SPorts'.

"It's very difficult, but I took it as a challenge. I don't feel retired at all, I'm basically a competitor.

"There are many things I don't miss at all, like all the stuff around the game you have to deal with nowadays.

"But the day, the competition. The achievement that you can do it together, sharing emotions, sharing competitions, ups and downs - you miss that."
