Welbeck headed Arsenal ahead after 5 minutes
Danny Welbeck opened the scoring for Arsenal aginst Brentford in the League Cup by heading home from a corner.
The former Manchester United player, who won the competition with the Red Devils, hardly had to climb to beat the Brentford defenders.
Monreal sent the corner in, and the Brentford players left Welbeck practically alone.
This gave the striker ample opportunity to beat his opponents, and direct a good header past Davies in goal.
Arsenal had dominated the opening exchanges, and the goal was a reflection of this pattern of play.
