Emilio Butragueño, director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid, said that the 3-0 defeat at Eibar "is a very hard result" and wanted it to be a lesson from which to learn "for the future".

"It's a very hard result for us. We didn't expect it, but on Tuesday we have another vital match in Rome, in another competition and we hope to win again," he told beIN Sports.

"It's a difficult day for us but it has to serve us for the future and for Tuesday's match," he added.

In the analysis of the match in Ipurua, Butragueño highlighted the achievements of Eibar to secure a historic victory, their first against Real Madrid.

"We expected that pressure from Eibar. They have won the duels, the long balls, the lateral centres and the second plays. They were very focused throughout the match and took it where they felt most comfortable. They deserved to win," he admitted.
