Wanyama wins Goal of the Month with thunderous strike
Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama has been awarded the Premier League Goal of the Month for February after his stunning postage stamp strike against Liverpool.
Wanyama's strike drew his side level with Liverpool in a thrilling game that finished 2-2 at Anfield.
Reflecting on his effort, the midfielder said: "I thought I'd just let it go because the ball was bouncing and I didn't want to think too much. And I just let it fly."
After Loris Karius's parry bobbled out to Wanyama some distance from goal, the Kenyan leathered the ball with all his might then watched his rocket soar and swerve into the top left corner. An absolute screamer.
