VOTE: Which team has Europe’s best defence?
Today we ask you to cast a vote on our Facebook page for the team which, in your opinion, has the best defensive line in Europe.
Any football coach will tell you that having a solid defence and a good goalkeeper is a key factor for any team that aspires to win titles, at least as important as having forwards that score goals.
In our shortlist, we have included Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Atletico’s defence counts with Godin, Savic or Filipe Luis. The Blues are the team which has conceded less goals than any other in the Premier League and Juventus counts with Italian defensive juggernauts like Chiellini, Barzagli and Bonucci.
Meanwhile Pique is the boss of Barcelona’s defensive line, Sergio Ramos plays a similar role at Real Madrid while Boateng and Hummers raise a (very high) wall on defence for Bayern.
