VIDEO: Vitalie Damascan inspires comeback v RKC Waalwijk
In December 2019, Fortuna Sittard fought back to beat RKC Waalwijk 3-2 thanks to two gaols from Vitalie Damascan.
Fortuna Sittard faced RKC Waalwijk in the Eredivisie back in December 2019.
RKC Waalwijk made it 0-1 after seven minutes through Mulder, but Diemers levelled for Sittard five minutes later. Leemans made it 1-2 on the half-hour, but Damascan equalised for Sittard once again just before half-time. Damascan then scored again in the 57th minute to give Sittard a 3-2 win. The visitors ended the game with 10 men after a red card eight minutes from time.
Sittard finished the season in 16th on 26 points and Waalwijk were bottom on 15 points when the season was curtailed due to the coronavirus. RKC therefore avoided relegation.
