Micky van de Ven says the chance to play under new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou was a key factor in his decision to join the club.

Tottenham announced the signing of Micky Van de Ven from Wolfsburg, on a six-year deal worth €50 million to the German club.

The Dutch defender gave his first words at Spurs: "I was yesterday at the game (against Shakhtar) and I saw the way of playing from the new manager. I really love it, it's offensive football. That's exactly what I want.

"I am really excited to pe part of the future of this project. I think I can learn so much here with such top players. So I think I can develop more here and hopefully I can become a great player for Spurs," concluded the centre-back.
