VIDEO: Sabiri scores absolute screamer v Spezia
In September 2022, Moroccan Abdelhamid Sabiri opened the scoring with this stunning goal against Spezia. Sampdoria would go on to lose 2-1 at the Stadio Alberto Picco.
Sampdoria travelled to play Spezia in a Serie A clash back on 17th September.
The team from Genoa took the lead after 11 minutes through Abdelhamid Sabiri, but Spezia levelled seconds later with a Jeison Murillo own goal. It remained 1-1 well into the second half, but M'Bala Nzola gave Spezia the lead 18 minutes from time and that proved to be the winning goal. Sampdoria are bottom with two points while Spezia are 12th on eight points.
