VIDEO: Rangnick says referee made it easy for Atletico
Ralf Rangnick believes his Manchester United team paid the price for not scoring the first goal in their defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Man Utd hosted Atletico Madrid in a Champions League last 16 second leg on Tuesday.
The first leg of the contest ended 1-1 and at Old Trafford, Atletico Madrid took the lead in the 41st minute when Renan Lodi headed in. Man Utd needed a goal to force extra-time, but they were unable to find it despite their best efforts. After the game, Man Utd manager Ralf Rangnick spoke to the media and he was criticial of the referee for allowing Atletico to timewaste, in his opinion.
