Roma met Juventus in matchday 37 of the Serie A season. Juventus had already won the Serie A title, but they were on 96 points and were trying to reach the 100 point mark in their final two games while Roma were second.
The match at the Stadio Olimpico back in May 2014 looked set to be heading for a 0-0 draw until Dani Osvaldo, on loan from Southampton, netted in the 94th minute to move Juventus onto 99 points. They ended the season on 102 points, a Serie A record while that was only one of three goals Dani Osvaldo scored in his 18 appearances for the club.
