Lucas Bergvall showed how keen he was to join Tottenham when he turned down La Liga giants Barcelona to join Spurs on a five-year deal until 2029. However, the talented midfielder will not join the English side until July.
Ange Postecoglou's side will thus strengthen their midfield ahead of next season with the Swedish gem, who has burst onto the scene this season making 29 official appearances for Djugardens IF, scoring three goals and making his debut for Sweden's senior team on 12th January.
Bergvall after signing his contract with his new team gave his first words wearing a Spurs shirt, in which he praised his new coach and said he felt like he was arriving to be part of a "new era" at the club. Check out what he had to say.
