José Juan made these two penalty saves as third-tier side Alcoyano beat first division team Levante 3-1 on penalties n the second round of the 2021/22 Copa del Rey.

Alcoyano hosted Levante in a Copa del Rey second round clash on Wednesday.

The home side took the lead in the fifth minute through El Ghezouani at El Collao stadium. Dani Gomez levelled midway through the first period, but El Ghezouani struck again to give the third tier side the advantage at the interval. Carlos Blanco then scored a sensational free-kick to make it 3-1, but Levante fought back. Soldado and Gomez netted to force extra-time. After a goalless 30 minutes, it went to penalties.

After both teams missed their first spot kick, Nunez, Imanol Garcia and Blanco scored for the hosts while only Morales scored for Levante. 42 year-old keeper Jose Juan, who was brilliant against Real Madrid last season, saved Roger Marti and Bardhi's penalties and Alcoyano are through to the last 32 once again.
