Take a look at Jan Vertonghen's first Tottenham goal during the side's League Cup fixture against Carlisle United from September 2012. The Belgian defender rose highest, nodding home Gylfi Sigurdsson's expert free-kick, notching his first goal since his summer switch from Dutch outfit Ajax.

In summer 2012, Jan Vertonghen made the switch from Ajax to Tottenham and in September of that year, he scored his first ever goal for the club.

In the Capital One Cup tie at Carlisle United, a Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick was sent into the box and Vertonghen headed in to give Spurs the lead just before the interval. The Premier League outfit ran out 0-3 winners.
