The young American has featured heavily for Leipzig this season, making 37 appearances and providing a goal and an assist in this time. This is a stark contrast to previous campaigns, where he had only made a combined 30 appearances across two seasons.
Leipzig themselves haven't had a bad year domestically, although they do sit well behind league leaders Bayern Munich who look set for a ninth straight Bundesliga title. All Nagelsmann's side can do is delay the inevitable by keeping on winning, before the man himself leaves to become manager of the Bavarian side next season.
