Ex-Villarreal player Juan Roman Riquelme reflects on the 2006 Champions League clash between his former side and Arsenal ahead of the Europa League semi-finals this Thursday - check out what he had to say here!

In the first leg the 'Gunners' secured a 1-0 victory at Highbury thanks to a Kolo Toure strike on 41 minutes. In the second leg, Arsene Wenger's men held out for a 0-0 draw, a result helped by Riquelme's penalty miss that would have taken the game to extra time. Instead, it was Arsenal who progressed to the Champions League final, where they faced Barcelona.

The two sides will be face each other again this Thursday, with both looking for a spot in the Europa League final this time around. Manchester United or Roma await them on May 26.
