The final matchday of the Bundesliga season saw Borussia Mönchengladbach win 4-2 away at Werder Bremen, but it wasn’t enough to climb into the European places.

Gladbach were victorious against Bremen on the last day of the season, scoring a fantastic team goal in the process - check it out here!

The away team took control over a Bremen side who had been flirting with relegation all season, and were 0-1 up after just three minutes through Stindl. Then came three quick-fire strikes to kill the game off, courtesy of Thuram, Bensebaini and Neuhaus. A late floury of goals from Rashica and Fullkrug barely ten minutes from time salvaged a little bit of pride for the home side, however were unable to mount any significant comeback.

The result wasn't enough to secure Gladbach European qualification, however it was enough to consign Bremen relegation to Germany's second tier for the first time in 41 years.
