VIDEO: Emery after leading Villarreal to their first European final
Unai Emery expressed his satisfaction after his Villarreal team went through 2-1 on aggregate after a goalless draw at Arsenal in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final tie.
Villarreal travelled to London to face Arsenal in a Europa League semi-final second leg on Thursday.
The Yellow Submarine were 2-1 up from the first leg so the Gunners needed a goal. Villarreal played well in the first half and could have scored themselves. Aubameyang hit the post in the first half for Arsenal and then again in the second as the hosts picked up. Arteta's men were unable to find a goal though and Villarreal went through. The La Liga outfit will face Man Utd in the final in Gdansk on 26th May after United knocked out Roma 8-5 on aggregate.
