Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong analysed the return to football for Barcelona. He thinks that they still have to get fitter to play.

Teams have now returned to training. The idea is that La Liga resumes in June, although there's still not a date set.

De Jong analysed the return to work for Barca: "I think we didn't see each other for two or three months, so it was really good to see them again".

However, he thinks they aren't ready yet to play. "I actually feel pretty good, but of course we're not fit for the matchday", he said.

"We first trained individually and now in small groups. I think in several weeks we will be ready to start playing again", he continued.

De Jong has closely followed the return of the Bundesliga: "I watched one game. I watched Dortmund against Schalke. I was happy to see football on TV again but it's not the same without fans. They create a special atmosphere and it's not the same without fans of course, but we'll have to play without them. Hopefully, it will only be for this season and they will come back to the stadiums soon".

Lastly, he thanked the medical workers for their work in the health crisis: "I think everyone around the world is grateful for what medical workers are doing. They are always everyday heroes but even more so now. They are fighting the virus. I really have huge respect for them".
