Liverpool started the preparations for the 2023/2024 season in the best possible way, with a victory. The Reds beat 2. Bundesliga side Karlsruher SC 4-2.
Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez gave the English side the lead in the third minute at BBBank Wildpark, before Lars Stindl spectacularly equalised for the German team. Sebastian Jung put the 2. Bundesliga side 2-1 ahead five minutes after half-time. Cody Gakpo restored parity again following a well-taken finish.
Diogo Jota then scored twice in second-half added time to complete the comeback. The Anfield outfit's next game is on 24th July against 2. Bundesliga side Gretuher Furth.
