After beating Khimki 1-0 in the Russian Cup final, Zenit players were in jubilant spirits. Branislav Ivanovic got a bit ahead of himself and dropped the Russian Cup to smash it in pieces to cut short the celebrations.
Zenit faced Khimki in the Russian Cup final at the Central Stadium in Yetakerinburg on Saturday.
The game looked to be heading for extra time until Artem Dzyuba converted a penalty six minutes from time to give Zenit the cup. However, during the trophy celebrations, former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic dropped the glass trophy and it broke. He and the rest of his teammates could not believe it and the trophy celebrations came to an abrupt end. Check out the incident in the video above!
