Goztepe opened their new stadium with a great victory against Istanbul giants Besiktas 2-1. The whole neighborhood were thrilled to see the first game at their new Gursel Aksel stadium, and the players responded with a great display.
Goztepe played their first game at their new stadium against Besiktas back in January.
Halil Akbunar scored the first goal in the new stadium when he put the hosts 1-0 ahead, but Yilmaz's penalty in the 38th minute made it 1-1. Celso Borges' goal in first half stoppage time meant the home side won their first game at their new home.
