The away team took the lead in the third minute through Romarinho and Fortaleza doubled their advantage just before the half hour. It remained 0-2 late into the second half, but then Rubens scored for Atletico Mineiro after 76 minutes. 11 minutes later, Rever levelled the scores and then, Mineiro completed the comeback deep into stoppage time when Matheus Jussa scored a 96th minute own goal.
