On March 13th 2022, Strasbourg hosted Monaco at the Stade de la Meinau for a Ligue 1 clash. The home side came out 1-0 victors that day.
Depite the visitors having more possession in the match, it was Strasbourg that made their time on the ball count to the fullest. Alexander Djiku scored the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute, and what a goal it was. So much so, that it has been voted as the club's goal of the season. Djiku and his Strasbourg teammates finished the Ligue 1 season just gone in 15th place, two points above the drop zone.
