Vidal chooses Barcelona shirt number
Having always worn the number 23 for his club and the number eight for his country, Barcelona new boy Arturo Vidal appears to have changed tack when picking his shirt number at the Camp Nou.
According to 'RAC 1', the Chilean has opted for the number 22 shirt at his new club, thus taking over from namesake Aleix Vidal following his return to former club Sevilla.
The new squad numbers are yet to be confirmed by the club, but with Samuel Umtiti currently possessing the No. 23, Vidal will be unable to have his favourite number unless the Frenchman vacates it voluntarily.
With that in mind Vidal is undeerstood to have picked number 22 for now, with fellow midfielder Arthur expected to inherit Andres Iniesta's famous number eight.
Brazilian winger Malcom will take Arda Turan's number seven, with defender Clement Lenglet expected to don Paulinho's number 15.
