Vidal asked for more game time and delivered

Arturo Vidal is a player whose passion means everything. His numbers do not matter much if works his socks off in a Barca midfield full of quality against Valladolid. 

"I don't know the reason I'm a substitute," he said just before finding out he would start the La Liga match. In that game, even though Messi was the dominant man, Arturo Vidal was his perfect teammate. 

The Chilean midfielder not only worked hard, but also managed to score a goal. In fact, he was even close to scoring a hat-trick after getting on the end of crosses from De Jong and Suarez. 

"I think I can give something different which the team does not have," he said in an interview prior to the encounter. "We are always unfair with some people because all of us coaches have a big squad and the players fight hard," Valverde concluded after the match.
