Benfica are taking the summer transfer market very seriously and they have just completed a triple signing: Jan Vertonghen, Everton and Luca Waldschmidt.

They confirmed on social media what was an open secret. Three footballers have signed for Benfica. The most exciting for the fans is Vertonghen. He will be a leader in the Benfica defence and he signs until 2023.
The Belgian defender arrives for free after ending his contract at Tottenham. At 33, he still has a lot to give and he hopes to be a starter for a team who are looking to win the Portuguese league back off Porto.
