Broken down after the match, Marco Verratti attended the media to recognize Barca's superiority in the match and admitted that he will never forget this Champions League match.

The Italian midfielder did not look for excuses after the defeat:

"The qualification of Barcelona is well deserved. It was hard to play, they were harassing too much in the first half. In the second half we got better. The Cavani goal gave us peace of mind. The Barcelona players were telling me it was over."

He added: "We're going to have difficult moments. There will be others. We have to find the strength to pick ourselves up. We have to be men. We're all sad. We lost 6-1 -- it wasn't the referee's fault. We're the first ones responsible for this."

The defeat is a open wound that has to heal now: "Then three goals in five minutes left me speechless, I cannot explain it. This is a game you will never forget and I hope to serve as a lesson to all."

Now, Verratti has the task to recuperate as soon as possible after the biggest defeat of his carrer.
