Vazquez side-footed home to extend Real's lead
Lucas Vazquez's importance to Real Madrid has been growing by the week of late and he showed why once again on Sunday as he found the back of the net against Girona.
The winger got on the scoresheet at the Bernabeu to put daylight between Real and the Catalan side.
Karim Benzema fed Cristiano Ronaldo from the left plank and the Portuguese laid the ball off to the onrushing Vazquez to side-foot home from just inside the area.
It was a precise finish from a man who has shone shone in recent weeks.
