Thomas Müller headed home from inside the six yard box to beat Gikiewicz and put Bayern ahead, but the VAR disallowed the goal for offside. Many people on social media slammed the decision.
In the 18th minute of the clash between Union Berlin and Bayern Munich, the away team thought they had scored. Gnabry headed towards goal and with keeper Gikiewicz completely beaten, Thomas Muller tapped in at the far post. The ball may have been going in anyway.
Union's Berlin's hands went up for offside and the VAR was called into action. After a couple of minutes, the VAR gave offside. Gnabry was just onside, but Muller was just off.
There was controversy on social media as Muller was behind Gnabry, but he was not behind or in line with the ball and that meant Muller was correctly given offside.
