Manchester United-Liverpool went to half-time with the slightest advantage for the 'red devils', although the scoreboard could have been different if not for the intervention of the VAR.

VAR will undoubtedly be the talking point of this weekend's Premier League matches. The referees behind VAR did not consider the foul that lead to United's goal was worth disallowing a goal for, however, a few minutes later, a handball by Sadio Mane right before a goal meant that Liverpool would remain one behind.

Liverpool tried to react to Rashford's goal. And they did, but the Senegalese striker used his hand, albeit involuntarily, in order to control the ball.

He received a good pass in the box, but as the ball lowered, he seemed to touch it with his left hand. De Gea, who protested vigorously while pressing the player, could not make the save, but the VAR warned the referee of the illegality of the action.
