The departure of Maxi Gómez seems inevitable. Fenerbahçe are the favourites to sign him. Both clubs are already negotiating his transfer.

Maxi Gomez is once again close to leaving Valencia. The Uruguayan seemed to have secured his continuity for another season, but the need to free up an extra-community place has put him back on the market.

Fenerbahçe are the favourites to sign the player, according to Nicolo Schira. The Spanish club are asking around 12 million for the player.

The Turkish club have already reached an agreement to pay the 2.5 million annual fee that the striker wants. However, what separates Maxi Gomez from the Turkish League is the amount Valencia are for the transfer.

The departure of the Latin-American would be a strategy of Valencia to free up a non-EU player. The arrival of Arthur Melo depends on the transfer of the Uruguayan or Marcos Andre to be able to officially register him.

The 'Che' club are still waiting to amortise 12 million of the transfer in the remaining two years of his contract. The solution seems easy and is based on selling the player at that price. However, the Ottomans are reluctant to make such a move despite being convinced that he should be their first-choice striker.

All three parties are willing to do their part to make the operation a success. The Spaniards are considering lowering the starting price, Maxi Gomez is willing to get paid less and even Fenerbhahçe would be open to raise their offer. The outcome will be announced shortly.
