Gareth Bale's latest injury has reportedly been the final straw for Real Madrid, who have decided to put the Welshman up for sale. The Premier League is by far the most likely destination for the forward, with Manchester United leading the race, according to the bookies.

Bookmakers have started to take bets on the possible departure of Gareth Bale from the Spanish capital next season, with a number of Premier League clubs among the favourites to land the former Tottenham star.

'Ladbrokes' are offering odds of 6/5 for Bale to leave Real Madrid next summer, with the likelihood of him moving to any Premier League club at 6/4.

According to the betting company, Old Trafford his most likely destination with odds of 2/1 for the Red Devils to sign the 28-year-old.

The only team outside of the Premier League among the favourites for Bale's signature are PSG, with odds of 9/1, although financial fair play regulations could make that move unlikely.

Alongside the French giants are Manchester City and Tottenham (14/1) followed by Chelsea (20/1).
