UEFA have officially announced that all their competitions, involving clubs and countries in both men's and women's football, have been suspended until further notice. The news came after a video conference with all 55 European associations.

The Champions League, Europa League, the Women's Euro 2021 qualifying games, Euro 2020 play-offs and friendlies are all suspended until further notice. UEFA confirmed that all their competitions are suspended.

The reason is the coronavirus crisis which led to a meeting of all 55 European football asssociations to discuss the matter. There had been talk of some topics of discussion and decisions, but still nothing official.

As well as men's football, this measure also applies to women's football and youth categories. In short, all UEFA competiions are on hold.

"Following a video conference meeting with the general secretaries of all 55 UEFA member associations and recommendations made by the working groups created on 17 March, the UEFA Executive Committee has taken a series of decisions," the statement began.

"All national team matches for men and women due to be played in June 2020 are postponed until further notice. This includes the play-off matches for UEFA EURO 2020 and qualifying matches for UEFA Women's EURO 2021," it continued.

"All other UEFA competition matches, including the centralised international friendly matches, remain postponed until further notice," UEFA confirmed.

The 'Financial Fair Play' has also been affected. In the report, it specifies that the calculations and rest of the operations which have been carried out to check whether the clubs meet the requirements to qualify for the Champions League and Europa League next season are also postponed
