According to Le Parisien, the incident took place late on Monday morning in a town to the west of the French capital. The suspects reportedly gained entry to the property and left the house in complete disarray as they searched for valuables.
It remains unclear whether Ruiz or any members of his entourage were present at the time of the attempted break-in.
The case is the latest worrying trend targeting PSG players and their families. In recent years, several squad members have been victims of burglaries or attempted robberies at their homes, including Ecuadorian defender Willian Pacho, the parents of Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos — in an especially violent incident — and Argentine winger Angel Di Maria.
