Thomas Tuchel was officially unveiled as Paris Saint-Germain's new manager on Sunday, as the German joins the club on a two year contract.

Tuchel, who replaces Unai Emery as head coach of the French side, was announced as manager on Monday, but he was officially unveiled on Sunday, giving his first interviews in front of the press.

The German boss was previously in charge of Borussia Dortmund, where he played a high-intensity brand of football similar to that of Jurgen Klopp, recording a 62% win ratio. He left Dortmund in 2017, and has been out of work ever since.

He has signed a two year contract at PSG, and will have the ultimate goal of winning the Champions League, something that his predecessor failed to accomplish.

Speaking to the press, Tuchel said that he understood the expectations at the club. "Our objectives are very high," he said. "It's too early to talk about victories and trophies, we need to take care of the structure of the club day by day. I would really like to start tomorrow, but we will have to wait until July."

"This is Paris, it's magnificent, it's the city of love, and light. It's romantic, I want us to play like that!'
