After winning Chelsea the Champions League after just over four months in charge, Chelsea are working on the contract renewal of coach Thomas Tuchel. 'The Guardian' indicate a deal until 2023 is on the table, with the option of a further year.
Chelsea are currently on cloud nine. The club, who a few months ago were going in no direction at all, have managed to secure the Champions League title after defeating Manchester City 0-1 in the final.
Tuchel, who arrived at the beginning of January, took just over four months to taste glory at his new club. The German had in mind what had happened at PSG last season, before eventually overcoming his demons and lifting a significant weight off his shoulders.
Having secured that title, Tuchel's renewal at the club is more than guaranteed. According to reports from 'The Guardian', the club's sporting directive are in the process of presenting him a new offer.
Chelsea want Tuchel at the helm until at least the end of the 2022/23 season, with an option to extend his stay for one more season.
