German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp of Eintracht Frankfurt said his side hope to "achieve a feat" in Thursday's Europa League quarter-final second leg at Camp Nou after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
"We are all very prepared and we are all looking forward to this game. It's one of those games that a professional footballer always hopes to play. We hope to qualify for the semi-finals," the goalkeeper insisted at a press conference.
According to Trapp, the high level shown by Eintracht in the first leg has earned them respect from Barça: "I think we played well last week and had the chance to win. Barça know that we can't be underestimated. Not only because of the game the other day, but also because of the games we have played against other big teams".
He warned that they have not come "to Barcelona to watch the game", but that they have come "with a great objective that will be very difficult" and that will require "a lot of suffering" to achieve.
Many Eintracht fans have already been seen on the streets of Barcelona on Wednesday, and they will be flocking to the match at the Camp Nou: "We are very aware of what is going on. There is only one thing on the agenda in Frankfurt these days: the match against Barça. It helps us a lot that our fans can be at the stadium tomorrow," said Trapp.
Trapp was the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper in the historic 6-1 lose against Barça in the last 16 of the 2016-2017 Champions League, which helped the Spaniards to come back from 4-0 down in the first leg.
"I'm only thinking about the big challenge of Thursday's game. What happened five years ago is different from what will happen tomorrow," the German goalkeeper said of the challenge.
