Torres told Griezmann: 'We need you here!'
Following constant jeering from Atletico Madrid supporters, Fernando Torres went over to console Antoine Griezmann during their league match against Eibar.
It's not often a player is booed by his home fans but Griezmann was on the end of a frosty reception when Atletico welcomed Eibar on Sunday evening.
The crowd expressed their displeasure at the constant speculation linking the striker with a move to Barcelona, reducing Griezmann to tears during play.
However, Torres, who was making his final appearance for the club, offered his support to his under-fire team-mate.
He was caught on camera telling Griezmann: "W'ere not going to have a go at you for anything... we really need you here".
The former Liverpool striker also put his arm around Griezmann in a touching embrace.
