Atletico Madrid star Torres has admitted that Tuesday's match against Barcelona was one of the worst days of his football career.
Fernando Torres has apologised for what was one of the lowest points of his footballing career, when he was sent off against Barcelona in their Champions League quarter-final tie.
Torres had a positive start to the game when he scored the opening goal for Atletico at the Camp Nou in the first half, but he was then shown two yellow cards in quick succession.
Barcelona took advantage of having an extra man on the pitch and won 2-1 against Atletico.
Torres posted on his Twitter, 'I take responsibility for our defeat, but now more than ever let’s go to The Calderón for a comeback #ForzaAtleti'
