Atletico Madrid have given their members the opportunity to say whether they prefer the new crest or the old one. The voting began this Saturday at 10.00 am and many have made their preference clear. If it were up to the staff, former players and even the current manager, the traditional one would be back.
Important day at Atletico. The club have opened a voting to find out what the fans think of the crest they adopted a few years ago. From 10.00 a.m., members can vote on the website which one they prefer.
But it is not only the members who are flooding the networks with their preferences. Club legends such as Torres, current players like Koke, Griezmann or Saul, and even Diego Pablo Simeone have joined the 'votes'.
At 10.00 a.m. sharp, the time when the voting began, Simeone left a story on his Instagram with his choice. An image in which he appeared as a player and, of course, with the traditional crest on his chest.
In this way, the Argentinian coach joined the opinions of other players in his squad such as Koke, Saul and Griezmann. The latter's Instagram story was one of the most liked for its symbolic meaning: he posted it at 19.03 pm, coinciding with the founding year of Atletico Madrid.
And legends such as Gabi, Torres, Diego Godin and 'Raton' Ayala also took a stand in favour of the previous crest. Even Luis Suarez, currently at Gremio, wanted to share a picture of himself with it on his chest. We'll have to see what happens in the voting, but one thing is clear: fans, legends and staff are in agreement on this issue.
