Some people are already calling him 'the new Xavi' because of his vision of the game and his ability with the ball at his feet, and although Xavi is one of the greats, the Brazilian was compared to the Catalan legend.
"To be compared to Xavi is something I'm proud of. I admire him, but I still need to do a lot more to get closer to his level," he acknowledged after the victory over Inter Milan, in which he was one of the most outstanding players.
The Brazilian, applauded after his performance, also said a few words about the absence of Leo Messi and what this means to the team: "Any club would suffer without him playing. He's the best in the world.
Finally, Arthur wanted to thank the fans for the affection they have showed him since joining the 'Blaugrana' side: "My dream since I was a child has been to play here in Barcelona. I want to thank all the fans' support, I am very happy".
Against Inter Milan, Arthur played his ninth official Barcelona match. He began as a substitute for the first few games, but from October he has had four first-team appearances in some very important matches (Tottenham, Valencia, Sevilla and Inter).
