Time to bounce back, says Mignolet
Simon Mignolet says Liverpool have a chance to put their humiliating defeat to Manchester City behind them on Wednesday in the Champions League.
Liverpool have a chance to bounce back on Wednesday according to Simon Mignolet, who has urged his teammates to put their thrashing by Manchester City behind them.
Mignolet and his side face an immediate return to action with the return of the Champions League at Anfield, at home to Sevilla on Wednesday night.
Despite the heavy defeat at the Etihad, Mignolet believes Liverpool have reason to be hopeful, and maintains that spirits are high in the dressing room.
"We have to take the first 20 minutes and how we played before the international break and take it into the next game," said the Belgium international.
"Of course we can't neglect the performance after that - we have to keep it in mind - but we have another game midweek when we can prove ourselves again.
"That's probably a good thing, the game comes early and we can put things right, change it again."
