Inter Milan have confirmed that Marcus Thuram is suffering from adductor issues in his left leg, casting serious doubt over his availability for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.

The French forward is a major concern for Simone Inzaghi at a crucial point in the season. Inter released an official medical update on Friday, revealing that the player's muscular discomfort will sideline him for the immediate future, disrupting what has been an influential campaign alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack.

Thuram has already been ruled out of Inter's upcoming Serie A fixture away to Bologna, and his participation in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against AC Milan now appears virtually impossible. The tie remains delicately poised at 1-1 following the first leg.

Before travelling to Barcelona, Inter must also face Roma at the San Siro, but the outlook for Thuram remains bleak. Barring a late and unlikely physical recovery, the Nerazzurri are preparing to face a decisive period without one of their most important players.
