The dispute between Neymar and Cavani didn't just stay on the pitch. Two of PSG's biggest stars were involved in a moment of high tension in the dressing room, according to 'L'Equipe'.
The French newspaper, which opened it's Tuesday edition with the headline "The Clash", stated that both stars faced off in the dressing room and other team-mates eventually had to intervene.
The captain, Thiago Silva, was one of the players who got in the middle of the dispute in order to try and calm down those involved. The argument was getting louder and Silva tried to put out the fire.
Finally, thanks to the Brazilian defender and various other tea-maets, the fight did not turn physical, but the tension in the team is at a high point. After this, Neymar even unfollowed his strike partner on Instagram and Twitter.
The big clash between the two South Americans has brought some fans of the Parisian club back down to earth, after being so excited to see one of the most lethal attacking trios in world football line up for their side. PSG will have to hope that the dispute is solved sooner rather than later.
