Thiago Silva could miss French Cup final
Thiago Silva confirmed that he will not be in the final of the French Cup against Rennes. The Brazilian centre-back did not recover in time from his knee problems.
It was one of the main doubts Thomas Tuchel had for the final against Rennes. However, the defender confirmed that he will not be playing through a post in Instagram.
"Unfortunately, I won't be on the pitch," wrote the 34-year-old defender, who was injured on 14 April in the match against Lille and hasn't been able to play since.
Thiago Silva joins Thomas Meunier, Thilo Kherer and Stanley Nsoki in defence, who are all injured, leaving the Parisian team with quite a few spots to fill against a title-seeking Rennes.
Mbappé did end up in the squad list, despite last-minute doubts. The French striker gave a small scare, but will be available to the PSG coach, as will a Neymar who aims to start.
