Iceland became the first country with a population of under 1 million to qualify for the World Cup and they did so by topping their group ahead of Croatia. The players celebrated along with their fans in spectacular fashion with their trademark 'Viking clap'.

22 points have allowed Iceland to qualify automatically for the World Cup in Russia, avoiding the play-off clashes runners-up Croatia will have to face. The feat was sealed in Reykjavik, where Iceland brushed Kosovo aside.

Once the fixture was over and Iceland's triumph realised, the players celebrated with their traditional and imposing 'Viking clap'.
